Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting?
Cleaning refers to the removal of unwanted material such as grease and grime. Sanitizing refers to decreasing the number of microorganisms on a surface to a safe level, but it won’t affect viruses. Disinfecting refers to the use of chemicals to kill nearly all bacteria and viruses but won’t affect spores.
What is the meaning of green cleaning services?
Green or eco-friendly cleaning services use sustainable products. That means that from manufacture to packaging to use to disposal, such products follow the ethical principle of “first do no harm.” Materials aren’t gathered by forced labor destroying rain forest habitats, don’t emit toxic vapors while in use, and are biodegradable instead of poisoning the water table.
What is the green cleaning method?
Green cleaning is a growing movement that puts people over profits by sustaining our environment. Natural home products such as vinegar, lemons, or baking soda can be used, or commercial products certified by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). The ideal eco cleaning company provides minimal packaging that is recyclable or reusable. Hopefully, green cleaning will be the preferred method for homes, schools, workplaces, and animal housing everywhere.
Are green cleaning products really safe?
The concept of eco-friendly cleaning is to effectively wash and sanitize a space without causing harm to people, animals, or the environment. An example of the problem is microbeads, tiny spheres of plastic used in cosmetics, toothpaste, and cleaning products. Banned in the US by the Microbead-Free Waters Act of 2015, they are still present in the oceans accumulating in marine life and absorbing toxins that affect the environment.
