5-Star Reviews
One of the biggest benefits to hiring MaidThis maids in McKinney to provide elderly cleaning services is that you can lower the risk of injury for your elderly loved one. A thorough cleaning can be hard work.
Areas such as bathtubs and toilets require a lot of bending, which can be dangerous for a senior citizen with balance issues.
Many who need house cleaning services for seniors have lung issues or respiratory concerns. Exposure to any airborne cleaning products may leave a senior citizen feeling quite unwell for a time. Hiring cleaning help for seniors can allow them to use their energy for more enjoyable tasks.
Your loved one may resist your offer of senior housekeeping services. You may have better luck convincing them to accept cleaning help for seniors by recommending a deep cleaning service once a month. MaidThis McKinney can provide move out cleaning, or deep house cleaning services for seniors if they’re not happy with the idea of a weekly cleaning. You can also order bi-weekly, monthly or even hourly house cleaning for seniors.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you clean an elderly person’s house?
The cleaning process for an older person starts with a thorough sweeping and dusting. One of the challenges for elderly citizens who feel the cold is that their homes can feel closed up and stale. Dust can settle on baseboards, blinds and the tops of curtains.
How can I help my elderly loved one clean their home?
It’s important you understand all the challenges. If your elderly loved one can’t see well, they may not notice the crumbs in the kitchen or the dust on the windowsill. If your elderly loved one insists on doing their own cleaning, perhaps you can gift them a deep cleaning once a month.
Is cleaning the house good exercise for seniors?
There are tasks that an elderly person can do safely. However, activities such as running the vacuum cleaner may require some heavy lifting, which they may not be able to do easily. They may struggle to clean floors, or have a hard time scrubbing a bathtub. Countertops may be simple, but a careful sweep and mop of floors can be quite difficult.
